HR Manager – Voco Sharjah

About the role

We are seeking an HR Manager for voco Sharjah who recognises that culture is key and is driven to create an enabling and empowering environment for our team. The role will lead the hotel’s people strategy, align HR initiatives with IHG standards and local legislation, and deliver memorable guest experiences through a motivated workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the hotel’s people strategy and HR initiatives, ensuring compliance with IHG standards and UAE labour law.
• Manage payroll, compensation and benefits, maintaining accuracy, competitiveness and internal equity.
• Monitor HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism and exit interview trends to identify improvement opportunities.
• Prepare and communicate monthly HR reports and insights to support business decisions.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, orientation and the full employee lifecycle, promoting IHG’s BrandHearted culture.
• Drive performance management, coaching leaders and fostering a culture of continuous feedback.
• Develop and implement colleague engagement, recognition and wellbeing programmes.
• Maintain HR records, employee files and HR systems in compliance with data privacy standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of HR management experience in the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of UAE labour law, HR practices, payroll and employee relations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with a passion for people development.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
• Fluent in English and Arabic; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with HR information systems.
