HSE Engineer – Abu Dhabi

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced HSE Engineer to join its Abu Dhabi team, focusing on safety management and compliance for construction projects. The role supports senior site representatives, develops site‑specific safety programs, and ensures adherence to UAE health and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Advise senior construction site representatives on ESHARP and Parsons SH&E processes, identifying and controlling hazards.
• Develop site‑specific work plans, compliance programs, training and orientation plans that meet SH&E regulations and client requirements.
• Audit projects and worksites against corporate and client standards, produce written audit reports, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analyses, and trend reporting on audit and incident data.
• Supervise emergency response teams, first‑aid personnel, and oversee new‑hire safety orientation and ongoing training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, health & environmental or a related engineering discipline.
• ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor certification and recognized OSH qualifications such as NEBOSH Diploma.
• Minimum 12 years of construction safety management experience in the Middle East, with at least 2 years in an OSH Engineer/Manager role.
• Extensive knowledge of UAE and Abu Dhabi health and safety regulations, including ADOSH‑SF reporting procedures.

Required skills

• ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor expertise.
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent OSH certification.
• In‑depth knowledge of UAE and Abu Dhabi health and safety regulations and ADOSH‑SF framework.
