HSE Lead Specialist

About the role

Salayel Hospitality is hiring an HSE Lead Specialist in Abu Dhabi. The HSE Lead implements, monitors and continuously improves health, safety and environmental performance across the assigned property or contract, ensuring compliance with UAE legislation, ADOSH-SF, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, client requirements and company HSE policies. The role provides strong site leadership, contractor governance, incident management and operational risk control.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain HSE policies, procedures and programs at site level, keeping HSE registers, risk assessments, inspection records and corrective action logs
• Conduct risk assessments, audits and inspections, and monitor and report HSE performance metrics
• Provide visible site HSE leadership, monitor permit-to-work and safe systems of work, and run toolbox talks and safety briefings
• Manage contractor HSE onboarding, compliance and supervision, including reviewing method statements, risk assessments, lifting plans and emergency arrangements
• Lead incident and near-miss investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions, and communicate lessons learned and safety alerts
• Deliver HSE inductions and awareness training, maintain training records and promote a positive safety culture
• Supervise site HSE personnel, prepare HSE reports, dashboards and audit documentation, and coordinate with operations teams, contractors, clients and authorities

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in occupational health and safety, engineering, environmental science or a related field
• ISO 45001 lead/internal auditor certification and ISO 14001 ADOSH registration (or equivalent)
• Incident investigation training (ICAM or similar)
• 8 years of HSE experience in UAE facilities management, property management, hospitality or similar operations
• Experience with contractor safety management and live operational environments
