HSE Officer – Health, Safety & Environment Lead

About the role

We are looking for a qualified HSE Officer to lead Health, Safety and Environmental operations across our chemical manufacturing facilities in Abu Dhabi. The role involves ensuring full compliance with UAE regulations, fostering a proactive safety culture, and minimizing workplace risks.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor HSE policies aligned with UAE laws and standards.
• Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification and drive corrective actions.
• Lead accident and incident investigations, preparing detailed reports and recommendations.
• Organise safety trainings, toolbox talks and awareness programmes.
• Perform workplace inspections, track corrective measures and maintain audit records.
• Coordinate emergency response plans and conduct evacuation drills.
• Liaise with government authorities, MOHRE, Civil Defence and external auditors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of HSE experience in manufacturing, chemical or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and compliance standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• ADOSH certification.
• NEBOSH or IOSH certification.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
