HSE Officer – Oil & Gas (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HSE Officer to lead health, safety and environmental compliance on brownfield oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves ensuring ADNOC standards are met, conducting inspections and fostering a safety‑first culture across construction, fabrication, installation and commissioning activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain HSE compliance with ADNOC and UAE regulations on brownfield oil & gas sites.
• Perform regular site inspections, audits, risk assessments and H2S hazard controls.
• Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate HSE awareness programmes and training for site personnel.
• Prepare and submit HSE reports, permit‑to‑work (PTW) documentation and safe systems of work.
• Provide continuous HSE coverage and arrange qualified replacements when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of HSE experience in brownfield oil & gas projects.
• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
• NEBOSH IGC and IOSH certifications.
• Proven experience with ADNOC, UAE or GCC HSE standards.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
