HVAC Project Engineer - Site Execution

About the role

WAHA AIR is looking for an experienced, hands-on HVAC Project Engineer in Dubai to take direct responsibility for the execution, supervision and completion of HVAC projects across the UAE. This is a site-execution-focused role, not a design, planning or coordination post: the engineer manages on-site activities, leads installation teams and ensures works follow approved drawings, specifications, budgets and deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Execute HVAC projects on site from mobilization to final handover, covering VRF/VRV, DX, chiller, FCU, AHU, FAHU and ventilation systems.
• Supervise installation of ductwork, chilled water piping, copper piping, insulation, drainage and equipment.
• Manage daily site operations, manpower, installation schedules and subcontractor activities.
• Lead site teams, technicians, supervisors and subcontractors and conduct regular inspections, resolving technical issues on site.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, suppliers and other MEP disciplines.
• Monitor progress, material availability, quality and productivity; identify variations and additional works.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging and handover, and prepare site progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with HVAC standards, quality requirements and HSE procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC project execution and site management.
• Proven ability to run HVAC projects independently from start to finish.
• Experience supervising technicians, installation teams and subcontractors.
• Previous UAE HVAC contracting experience strongly preferred; a valid UAE driving licence is preferred.
• Good command of English.

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of VRF/VRV, DX, chilled water, chillers, AHUs, FAHUs, FCUs and ventilation systems.
• Ability to read and execute works from IFC drawings, shop drawings, BOQs and technical specifications.
• Understanding of HVAC installation methods, testing and commissioning, and quality control.
• Site management, leadership, problem-solving and coordination skills.
