HVAC Supervisor

About the role

Samsung E&A, a specialized EPC company covering the plant industry, is looking for an HVAC Supervisor in Al Ruwais. The role leads or supervises subcontractors so that construction proceeds effectively according to project specifications under safe conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise construction quality and safety, in line with project specifications and the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP)
• Manage construction progress and productivity through daily, weekly and monthly quantity checks, and monitor project budgets
• Coordinate with other disciplines, resolve interface issues and conflicts, and report to senior management
• Conduct quality control inspections and assign work fronts to other supervisors based on their skills and experience
• Issue permits to work (PTW), supervise subcontractor teams, and attend SMC, STC and PSSR walk-downs and follow up punch items
• Promote near-miss reporting, review rental manpower and equipment timesheets, and record delays and resource issues
• Supervise HVAC trouble-shooting, equipment and duct installation, control cable pulling and termination, air balancing (TAB), plumbing installation, hydro testing and commissioning

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering major
• 10+ years of experience in civil supervision
• Medium to large project experience, preferably in oil/gas, petrochemical or power plant environments
• Experience in an engineering and construction company

• HVAC control, equipment installation, duct and piping, commissioning, TAB and plumbing
• MS Office
• Leadership, communication with senior management and subcontractors, and subcontractor management
