QC Engineer – Painting & Insulation

About the role

The QC Engineer will support site quality improvement for painting and insulation works on capital projects, ensuring compliance with corporate and project quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and ITP matrices for painting and insulation disciplines.
• Plan, control and perform inspections, tests and audits, and coordinate corrective actions with other disciplines.
• Provide quality training to construction and quality staff and promote risk management.
• Liaise with clients on quality issues, NCRs and observations, and maintain records in FMCS/SCMS.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• 15+ years of inspection experience on oil/gas, petrochemical or power plant projects.
• Experience working in GCC engineering & construction environments.
• Certification in NDT Level II or higher and ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.

Required skills

• Advanced inspection techniques, material testing methods and documentation.
• Knowledge of paint, coating and insulation materials and application procedures.
• Proficiency with FMCS and SCMS quality management tools.
• Leadership, team management and strong communication abilities.
