Instructor in Architectural Engineering

About the role

The Department of Architectural Engineering within the College of Engineering at the United Arab Emirates University is seeking an Instructor. The position is open until filled, with applications screened on a rolling basis.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering; an undergraduate degree in architecture or architectural engineering is also required.
• Master's degree specializing in Building Construction, digital representation tools, building modeling and fabrication, or a closely related field, from an internationally recognized university.
• Ability to teach undergraduate courses and excellent communication skills.
• English proficiency is essential, as it is the language of instruction and communication.
• Preferred: prior teaching, industrial and professional experience, especially in architectural education, industry or professional practice, and a strong background in building construction methods.

Required skills

• Proficiency in building digital modeling and contemporary software such as Revit and BIM.
• Knowledge of current industry standards, regulations and best practices in building construction.
• Ability to integrate theoretical concepts with real-world applications in teaching.
• Commitment to engineering education, including curriculum and pedagogical approach development.
