Instrumentation Design Engineer – Oil & Gas (Immediate)

About the role

Eram Talent is urgently seeking an experienced Instrumentation Design Engineer for its client in Abu Dhabi, working on-site in the Oil & Gas sector. The engineer creates detailed designs, specifications and documentation for instrumentation systems, collaborating closely with project teams so that solutions are practical, efficient and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver instrumentation design and drafting for oil & gas facilities, including instrument layout drawings, hook-up drawings, instrument index and data sheets, junction box layouts, wiring diagrams, cable routing and tray layouts, and installation and typical drawings.
• Create and manage 3D instrumentation models with SP3D / E3D, and prepare, update and maintain 2D drawings in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Coordinate with Instrumentation, Electrical, Piping, Process and Mechanical disciplines to ensure design integration.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, client standards and international codes and industry best practices, and incorporate review comments from clients, licensors and internal stakeholders.
• Support design activities during FEED, detailed engineering and EPC phases, meeting project schedules and delivering quality results on time.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Instrumentation / Electronics Engineering (or equivalent).
• At least 15 years of relevant experience as an Instrumentation Designer.
• Mandatory oil & gas industry experience, preferably in EPC or consultancy environments.
• Extensive experience on greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
