Internal Medicine Faculty Positions (Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor)

About the role

Dubai Medical University is recruiting Internal Medicine faculty at three levels: Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor, based in Dubai. The positions cover teaching, research and service within the university's curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Teaching and learning: deliver undergraduate and/or graduate teaching according to the DMU curriculum; prepare and update teaching materials, run lectures, tutorials, practicals and clinical sessions; supervise and assess student research, projects and exams; advise and mentor students; use technology and simulation where appropriate.
• Research and scholarly activity: maintain an active research agenda aligned with university priorities; publish in Scopus-indexed journals and present at reputable conferences; seek external funding and join collaborative research initiatives.
• Service and administration: take part in departmental, college and university committees; help with curriculum development and accreditation; engage in community service and outreach; support faculty development.

Required profile

• Professor: Ph.D. or equivalent; at least 10 years of teaching and research experience after the terminal degree, strong publications and academic leadership.
• Associate Professor: Ph.D. or equivalent; at least 5 years of teaching and research experience after the terminal degree, solid publications and professional, clinical and academic achievements.
• Assistant Professor: Ph.D. or equivalent; potential in teaching, clinical, research and service; previous higher education or postdoctoral experience preferred.

• Familiarity with accreditation standards and quality assurance in higher education.
