Inventory and Equipment Specialist – Regional (IMEEA)

About the role

Within the Logistics Department, the Inventory and Equipment Specialist will be responsible for implementing the logistics budget and managing the flow of stock and empty containers across the assigned region. The role ensures equipment availability, optimises fleet usage and supports cost‑efficient logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate equipment evacuation according to Head Office guidelines and regional priorities.
• Analyse forecasts and export requirements to maintain equipment availability in depots and terminals.
• Monitor container supply and demand, idle full and empty containers, dwell time and stock levels, identifying risks and proposing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Agency Logistics, Operations, depots and terminals to reduce idle time, optimise storage and improve cost efficiency.
• Identify vessel back‑loading opportunities and support empty loading and discharge initiatives.
• Contribute to logistics cost optimisation, imbalance management, empty repositioning and storage cost reduction projects.
• Ensure proper use of CMA CGM Group logistics systems and compliance with procedures and reporting standards.
• Prepare weekly and monthly equipment reports with highlights and recommendations for regional management.
• Support process, tool and system improvements by gathering business requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in container management or equipment flow within a shipping line or similar environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage at all organisational levels.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
