Inventory Specialist – Manage Multidisciplinary Parts & Tools

About the role

The Inventory Specialist ensures the availability, traceability, and integrity of all mechanical, electrical and software‑related components used in workshop manufacturing, system integration, testing and field operations. You will coordinate stock, kits and toolsets to keep engineering projects running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain real‑time inventory records for OTS parts, raw materials and custom‑manufactured items.
• Define and enforce minimum/maximum stock levels and manage critical spare parts.
• Organise storage areas, label items and guarantee traceability of sensitive electronic and precision mechanical components.
• Prepare kits for assembly, integration and testing, and support field deployments with equipment and toolkits.
• Collaborate with procurement to forecast demand, monitor supplier lead times and avoid shortages.
• Ensure alignment of inventory with engineering Bills of Materials (BOMs) and configuration management.
• Use ERP and inventory management systems to track movements, generate reports and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in inventory, warehouse or materials management within a technical environment.
• Experience handling mixed inventories of mechanical, electrical and electronic components.

Required skills

• Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to read and interpret Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Strong knowledge of engineering components such as mechanical parts, connectors, PCBs and cables.
