Inventory / Supply Planner

About the role

We are looking for an Inventory / Supply Planner to develop and execute inventory and supply plans that ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess inventory. The role collaborates with demand planners, category managers and cross‑functional teams to balance forecasts with supply capabilities and support commercial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain inventory and supply plans, including purchase and replenishment schedules.
• Manage Open‑to‑Buy (OTB) budgets and monitor inventory investments against financial targets.
• Participate in the S&OP process, providing inventory insights, supply recommendations and risk assessments.
• Analyze sales trends, stock cover, aging inventory and key KPIs such as stock turns, fill rate and out‑of‑stock performance.
• Identify supply‑chain risks and implement mitigation actions to avoid shortages or overstock.
• Work closely with procurement, logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely product availability.
• Support new product launches, seasonal planning and promotional activities with accurate inventory forecasts.
• Prepare regular planning reports, dashboards and business reviews for management.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives in forecasting accuracy and inventory management.

Required profile

• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in inventory, supply or merchandise planning, preferably in retail, distribution or consumer goods.
• Experience with categories such as electronics, toys, home appliances or general merchandise is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of S&OP, Open‑to‑Buy, demand planning and inventory optimization.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Familiarity with planning tools used for inventory and replenishment.
