Irrigation Draftsman

About the role

As an Irrigation Draftsman you will create precise irrigation and landscape drawings that support the execution of high‑profile real‑estate projects in Dubai. You will work closely with landscape architects, MEP engineers and site teams to turn design concepts into construction‑ready documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare irrigation layout, shop and as‑built drawings using AutoCAD (2D/3D) and relevant design tools.
• Develop hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing and zoning layouts for drip, spray and bubbler systems.
• Coordinate with Landscape Architects, MEP teams and Site Engineers to ensure design alignment.
• Review tender drawings, specifications and BOQs to produce accurate working drawings.
• Produce equipment schedules for valves, controllers, sprinklers and pumps.
• Incorporate authority requirements (DEWA, Dubai Municipality, DDA) into designs.
• Maintain drawing revisions, version control and documentation.
• Support site teams with drawing clarifications and troubleshoot design‑related issues.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Civil/Agricultural Engineering, Landscape Design or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as an Irrigation Draftsman on landscape/irrigation projects.
• Mandatory UAE experience in landscape projects.
• Experience within a contracting or consultancy firm.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of irrigation design software (e.g., Rain Bird, Hunter design tools).
• Strong understanding of irrigation hydraulics, pipe networks and water‑efficient design principles.
