Islamic Studies Teacher – Immediate Start

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking an enthusiastic Islamic Studies Teacher for Al Rayana Charter School in Abu Dhabi. The role starts immediately and involves delivering the American curriculum to primary‑age learners in a mixed‑gender environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Islamic Studies lessons that inspire students and meet the American curriculum requirements.
• Plan and prepare lessons catering to the full ability range, using resources and classroom displays to create a positive learning environment.
• Assess and record student progress using Target Tracker and provide feedback to parents at conferences.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, curriculum support staff and external professionals such as speech and language therapists to support student development.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policy, promoting self‑control and independence.
• Participate in extracurricular activities, including running a weekly ECA and supporting school events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience, preferably with learners for whom English is not the first language.
• Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) or police check.
• Commitment to the school’s values, high expectations and the well‑being of children.
