IT Infrastructure Specialist

About the role

The IT Infrastructure Specialist will design, implement and maintain secure, reliable and scalable IT infrastructure across multiple business units and client environments. You will own infrastructure projects, resolve complex technical challenges and contribute to continuous improvement of system performance and security.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build servers, networks, VPNs, identity and access solutions; set and maintain group build standards.
• Deliver entity separation across Google Workspace, Slack, domains and VPNs; create separate client environments and log work in Clockify.
• Own the IT improvement backlog, automate repetitive tasks with scripts, n8n workflows and configuration management.
• Manage patching, capacity and monitoring for Proxmox and Docker environments; run quarterly backup restore tests.
• Review significant IT changes, raise design, security and cost concerns, and evaluate vendor proposals.
• Resolve escalated technical issues, coach L2 staff and provide input to IT governance.

Required profile

• 4‑5 years of experience in systems administration or infrastructure roles.
• Production Linux administration with Docker and Proxmox (or similar virtualization).
• Hands‑on networking experience (VLANs, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, site‑to‑site or client VPNs).
• Google Workspace administration at tenant level.
• Proficiency in Bash or Python scripting for automation.
• Clear communication skills with non‑technical staff and a degree or diploma in IT, computer science or cybersecurity (or equivalent experience).

• Security certifications (Security+, Network+) – nice to have
