IT Operations Engineer

About the role

The IT Operations Engineer is responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of assigned projects while supporting internal applications, systems, and infrastructure. This role works in a 24x7 environment, handling incidents, outages, and continuous improvement of operational processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and participate in operations, outage, incident, and safety meetings.
• Support internal applications, systems, and infrastructure, including telephone hardware and cabling.
• Assist with installation, racking, cabling, and maintenance of equipment in data‑center or plant environments.
• Write, test, debug, and maintain code, deployment scripts, and automation tools.
• Create and manage tickets, monitor operational status boards, and provide stakeholder updates during critical incidents.
• Prepare technical presentations, incident reports, root‑cause analyses, and downtime reports.
• Supervise junior team members and participate in on‑call rotations.
• Perform inventory management, data entry for assets, and ensure compliance with ITIL processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
• Continuous‑improvement mindset and ability to work in a fast‑paced 24x7 environment.
• Effective communication, stakeholder management, and customer‑focused approach.
• Leadership, teamwork, and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
