IT Operations Specialist

About the role

The IT Operations Specialist will ensure stable and compliant IT services across Julphar’s Ras Al Khaimah site. You will provide advanced Level‑2 support, manage system validation, and collaborate with Quality Assurance to keep pharmaceutical IT systems aligned with GxP regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Computer System Validation (CSV) activities for new and existing IT systems following GAMP 5 and 21 CFR Part 11 requirements.
• Participate in IT audits, maintain audit trails, and ensure ITIL‑based change, incident, problem and service‑request processes.
• Provide Level‑2 troubleshooting for hardware, software, networks and Office 365 suite (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
• Coordinate application upgrades, patching and change control in a GMP environment.
• Maintain IT asset records, support lifecycle management and oversee the ticketing solution.
• Deliver end‑user training and act as the escalation point for GxP/GMP system issues.
• Collaborate with QA, IT Security and external vendors to meet regulatory expectations.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with IT operations in a regulated pharmaceutical or life‑science environment.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and GAMP 5/CSV methodologies.
• Familiarity with 21 CFR Part 11, data integrity and electronic record/e‑signature requirements.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams.
