IT Support Engineer (Backfill)

About the role

The IT Support Engineer will provide on‑site desktop and infrastructure support in Dubai, handling hardware, software and network issues while ensuring compliance with warranty and security policies.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems on desktops, laptops, printers and other peripherals.
• Perform smart‑hand activities such as cabling, rack mounting and peripheral installation.
• Support Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems and basic administration tasks.
• Utilise ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy) to log, track and close incidents.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on IT infrastructure field support experience.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs and work under instruction‑based activities.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with clients and management.
• Associate degree in Electronics or equivalent and CompTIA A+ certification preferred.

Required skills

• Hardware troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, printers and peripherals.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN concepts, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and RDP.
• Experience with Windows OS, macOS/Linux administration.
• Familiarity with vendor hardware (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, HP) and related certifications.
• Proficiency with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
