Java Software Engineer – Digital Lending

About the role

We are looking for a Java Software Engineer to join our digital lending team in Abu Dhabi. You will design, develop and maintain Java‑based credit risk platforms that support the full loan lifecycle, from pre‑loan approval to post‑loan monitoring, while ensuring compliance with local financial regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Build and evolve high‑availability microservices for credit approval, anti‑fraud, and post‑loan monitoring using Spring Boot/Cloud and Alibaba ecosystem tools.
• Design APIs with sub‑300 ms response times for pre‑loan and sub‑500 ms for post‑loan processing, handling thousands of concurrent requests.
• Translate regulatory risk rules and scoring models into executable Java code and develop a dynamic rule engine with online editing and gray‑release capabilities.
• Integrate machine‑learning models (TensorFlow, PyTorch) via RESTful services for real‑time credit scoring.
• Connect to external financial data sources through MyBatis/Spring Data JPA and build risk data marts.
• Implement real‑time dashboards and alerts for NPL, fraud rates, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure data security, RBAC, audit logging and support AML and other regulatory audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of backend development experience and at least 1.5 years in financial credit risk systems.
• Strong understanding of Chinese banking regulations (CBIRC, PBOC) is a plus.
• Experience with high‑throughput, low‑latency systems and microservice architecture.
