About the role

Join AECOM's Graduate Program as a Data Engineering Specialist supporting MEP engineering teams in Abu Dhabi. You will work on digital and data‑driven workflows that enhance engineering design, analysis and documentation across the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with MEP engineers to integrate digital solutions into mechanical, electrical and public health design processes.
• Analyse and interpret datasets from BIM models, engineering calculations, simulations and building performance tools.
• Develop automation scripts and tools using Python, C#, Dynamo, Grasshopper, VBA or APIs to streamline repetitive engineering tasks.
• Create dashboards, reports and visualisations with Power BI to communicate project insights.
• Maintain engineering databases, templates and digital resources ensuring data integrity and compliance.
• Support BIM and digital engineering teams by extracting information from Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud and related platforms.

Required profile

• UAE national with a family book.
• Degree or diploma in Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline.

Required skills

• Strong programming skills in Python and C#.
• Experience with SQL and Power BI for data manipulation and visualisation.
• Familiarity with BIM and engineering platforms such as Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks, IES VE, EnergyPlus, Grasshopper, Rhino and Dynamo.
• Ability to develop automation scripts using Python, Dynamo, VBA, APIs.
