Jr. Data Scientist

About the role

This junior data scientist position focuses on extracting insights from large, complex datasets and supporting the development of predictive and AI/ML models. You will work closely with analysts, engineers, and mission partners to deliver data‑driven solutions that improve operational intelligence.

Key responsibilities

• Perform statistical analysis and exploratory data analysis to uncover meaningful patterns.
• Support the creation, validation, and deployment of predictive models.
• Contribute to AI/ML model development and data‑driven solution design.
• Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines for collection, processing, and integration.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve data workflows and automate repetitive tasks.
• Help enhance data quality, structure, and accessibility.
• Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for optimization.
• Participate in team meetings, project discussions, and knowledge‑sharing sessions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• 0–2 years of experience in data science, analytics, machine learning, or related technical roles.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate technical findings to non‑technical audiences.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Understanding of statistical techniques and modeling approaches.
• Foundational knowledge of AI/ML concepts.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud‑based big data technologies.
