Junior Buyer - Women's Activewear

About the role

Gymshark, a fast-growing performance activewear brand, is looking for a commercially driven Junior Buyer to join its GCC team and own a key Women's Activewear category. The role covers about 400 options per season across the UAE and GCC, working with Gymshark and internal stakeholders to build successful assortments and drive category performance. International travel to markets and events is an important part of the job.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of the Women's Activewear category, customer needs and market trends.
• Partner with Gymshark and internal stakeholders to define and run category and product strategy, and present performance, trend insights and trading recommendations to senior leadership.
• Manage the full buying cycle, from product selection and range planning to in-season trading and performance analysis.
• Research market trends, new product opportunities and emerging activewear brands, and build strong supplier and brand partner relationships.
• Support negotiations and vendor management, place repeat orders and share trading updates with Planning and Supply Chain.
• Maintain accurate vendor agreements and buying records, and consolidate trading feedback.
• Collaborate with Planning, Merchandising, Marketing, Retail Operations and Supply Chain, and take ownership of category outcomes.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of buying experience in activewear, sportswear, athleisure, lifestyle sports or a comparable retail business.
• Proven experience managing a large portfolio of around 400 SKUs and the end-to-end buying lifecycle.
• Strong expertise in Women's Activewear and Performance Apparel, with knowledge of market trends, consumer behaviour and competitors.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills; experience presenting product and trend decks to senior stakeholders.
• Fluent in English and willing to travel frequently.
