Junior Data Scientist

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Data Scientist to join our team and help turn large, complex datasets into actionable insights. The role involves collaborating with analysts, engineers, and mission partners to develop data‑driven solutions that support intelligence and operational decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Perform statistical analysis and exploratory data analysis on complex datasets.
• Support the development, validation, and deployment of predictive and AI/ML models.
• Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines for collection, processing, and integration.
• Develop scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve workflow efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance data quality, structure, and accessibility.
• Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for optimization.
• Participate in team meetings, project discussions, and knowledge‑sharing sessions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related quantitative field.
• 0–2 years of experience in data science, analytics, machine learning or a related technical area.
• Ability to communicate technical findings to non‑technical audiences.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python, R and SQL.
• Experience with data‑visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud‑based big‑data technologies.
• Understanding of statistical techniques and basic AI/ML concepts.
