Junior HR Business Partner – Retail

About the role

The Junior HR Business Partner will support the retail store’s daily HR operations and act as a strategic partner to store management. You will align HR initiatives with the Al‑Futtaim Retail People strategy, drive employee engagement and help deliver talent and performance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Translate the corporate People strategy to the store level and recommend an optimal organisational structure.
• Partner with store leadership to identify talent needs, design recruitment plans and manage manpower budgeting.
• Oversee employee‑relations cases, ensure compliance with UAE labour law and Al‑Futtaim Group policies throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Lead performance appraisal processes, develop improvement plans and support succession planning.
• Promote a values‑driven culture, champion diversity and inclusion, and implement engagement and recognition initiatives.
• Mentor store managers to strengthen their leadership capabilities and build a strong talent bench.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or 0‑2 years of experience in HR, preferably within retail or a fast‑moving consumer environment.
• Strong understanding of UAE labour legislation and HR best practices.
• Ability to work closely with store managers and influence decisions through data‑driven insights.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
