Junior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

The Junior Mechanical Engineer will support mechanical engineering activities for Oil & Gas projects across all phases, from design to commissioning. Working under senior engineers, you will ensure equipment engineering complies with project specifications, codes, standards, and HSE requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support engineering for static and rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and packaged equipment.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing equipment datasheets, technical specifications, material requisitions, and engineering calculations.
• Review vendor drawings, datasheets, calculations and follow up on comments.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in design, 3D model, constructability, and technical coordination meetings.
• Support resolution of technical queries during engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited university.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry, including at least 2 years in the GCC region.
• Ability to work under guidance of senior engineers and collaborate across disciplines.
