About the role
The Perception and Active Cognition (PAC) Lab at NYU Abu Dhabi is hiring an Emirati Junior Research Scientist for a 30‑month fixed‑term position to support a collaborative project with the National Academy of Childhood Development.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in study design and stimulus preparation for interdisciplinary research.
- Conduct data collection with Emirati participants of all ages.
- Perform data analysis using computational methods.
- Collaborate closely with NYUAD researchers and NACD stakeholders.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, neuroscience, linguistics or related field (master’s preferred).
- Experience in psycholinguistics, developmental psychology or neuroscience.
- Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity for work with local participants.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
Required skills
- Psycholinguistics expertise.
- Computational and data‑analysis skills.
- Interest in Arabic language research and child development.
