About the role
The Junior Sous Chef will support the kitchen team at Mina's Kitchen in Dubai Marina, preparing high‑quality dishes and maintaining food safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients, portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure and mix according to recipes.
- Cook and present food, operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers, and test for proper doneness.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, tools, knives and equipment, and ensure correct temperature of appliances.
- Set up and break down work stations, serve food in proper portions, and follow safety and security policies.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related food‑and‑beverage experience.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb and perform physical tasks for an entire shift.
Required skills
- Operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
- Food preparation and portion control.
