Ken Fix-It Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Ken Fix‑It Technician to join Raffles Dubai, responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of guest rooms to ensure all facilities, equipment, and fixtures meet the hotel’s quality, safety and brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance (PPM) of guestrooms in line with the approved programme.
• Perform multi‑skilled maintenance including civil, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting and minor furniture repairs.
• Repair grouting, silicone, paint touch‑ups, door hardware, furniture, plumbing fixtures, and troubleshoot electrical and Guest Room Management Systems (GRMS) devices.
• Service curtain systems, Fun Coil Units (FCU), replace filters and actuators, and flush chilled‑water condensation.
• Inspect guestrooms during PPM, identify defects and ensure high‑quality workmanship.
• Complete maintenance records, update work orders and maintain housekeeping after tasks.
• Report recurring defects or major repairs that require specialist intervention.
• Comply with all health, safety, environmental and engineering procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma or Trade Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Air Conditioning, Building Maintenance or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in hotel engineering or facilities maintenance, preferably within a luxury hotel environment.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of guestroom preventive maintenance across civil, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry disciplines.
• Working knowledge of Guest Room Management Systems (GRMS) and hotel room equipment.
• Good troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
