Key Account Manager - Heavy Equipment

About the role

The Key Account Manager for Heavy Equipment manages assigned customer accounts in the construction, quarrying, crushing, mining, infrastructure and industrial sectors. The role focuses on maintaining strong customer relationships, generating sales opportunities, growing business within existing accounts and ensuring high customer satisfaction. It suits someone with good industry knowledge, an established customer network and a proven track record in heavy equipment sales.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve assigned sales and revenue targets and manage relationships with key accounts through regular contact and site visits.
• Identify sales opportunities in existing accounts and develop new prospects; prepare quotations, proposals and equipment presentations.
• Follow up on leads, inquiries, tenders and requests, support customers through the sales process and coordinate equipment deliveries.
• Promote service contracts, parts, warranties and aftermarket solutions, and gather market and competitor intelligence.
• Take part in trade shows, exhibitions and customer events, and help collect payments in line with credit policy.
• Maintain sales forecasts and customer records in CRM, and support Senior Sales Managers with sales strategy and account plans.
• Adhere to SOPs, credit approval and financial policies, and comply with GIA, AML and KYC requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 4-6 years of sales experience in the heavy equipment industry within the UAE.
• Existing customer contacts in construction, quarrying, crushing, mining or infrastructure sectors.
• Preferably bilingual (Arabic and English).
• Valid UAE driving licence.

Required skills

• CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong relationship-building, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of construction equipment and related machinery.
