Kitchen & Laundry Technician – Al Marjan Island

About the role

The Kitchen & Laundry Technician ensures that all culinary and laundry equipment operates smoothly at the Radisson Resort on Al Marjan Island. You will work closely with the Executive Chef and Housekeeping Manager to minimise downtime and maintain high safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair commercial kitchen equipment such as ranges, ovens, steamers, fryers, walk‑in chillers, freezers and dishwashers.
• Maintain laundry machinery including industrial washers, dryers, flatwork ironers and steam boilers.
• Diagnose electrical, gas and mechanical faults and carry out corrective actions.
• Conduct preventive maintenance programmes and monitor steam pressure and temperature systems.
• Follow hotel safety and fire‑prevention policies and ensure compliance with HACCP standards.
• Coordinate with kitchen and housekeeping teams to schedule repairs with minimal disruption.

Required profile

• Technical diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Refrigeration Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in a hotel, resort or industrial facility.
• Knowledge of gas systems, steam systems and electrical wiring.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities and basic understanding of safety and HACCP standards.
