KYC Review & Approval Manager – FIG

About the role

In line with UAE and international AML requirements, the manager will lead the KYC review and approval process for new, periodic and trigger client onboarding within the FIG segment, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the approval workflow for new client onboarding, periodic and trigger reviews, coordinating with coverage bankers, KYC operations, compliance and offshore teams.
• Review account opening forms and relevant SWIFT messages, verify documentary evidence, and ensure onboarding timelines are met.
• Perform independent analysis of high‑risk factors, escalating cases to Financial Crime Compliance as needed.
• Maintain relationship with corporate and investment banking stakeholders, supporting efficient client onboarding and off‑boarding.
• Prepare and present MI reports, track CDD exceptions, and monitor KYC KRI/KPI metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in management, banking, finance or related field; certifications in compliance, KYC/AML/CFT are a plus.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a reputable international bank within onboarding, KYC or compliance functions.
• Strong knowledge of funds, brokers, money services businesses, loans, agencies, non‑bank financial institutions and correspondent banks.
• Familiarity with AML/KYC regulations, Wolfsberg questionnaires and sanctions screening.
