Laundry Attendant

About the role

The Laundry Attendant ensures that all hotel linen, uniforms and guest garments are cleaned, maintained and stored according to Sofitel standards. You will operate laundry and dry‑cleaning equipment, handle chemicals safely, and support the overall cleanliness of the laundry area.

Key responsibilities

• Operate laundry and dry‑cleaning machines following established cycles and procedures.
• Identify and report any equipment damage or malfunction promptly.
• Maintain accurate inventory of linen, uniforms and chemicals, and participate in monthly stock checks.
• Handle and store chemicals according to health and safety regulations.
• Keep the work area clean, orderly and compliant with safety standards.
• Process lost‑and‑found items and record all activities in laundry logbooks.
• Respond to guest comments or complaints related to laundry services.

Required profile

• Reliability and punctuality, wearing the correct uniform and name tag.
• High personal hygiene and appearance standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with housekeeping and other hotel departments.
• Understanding of hotel policies, especially fire, hygiene, health and safety.
• Willingness to attend training, meetings and adapt to operational changes.
