Lead Auditor - Energy and Asset Management

About the role

The Certification Department is looking for a Lead Auditor for energy and asset management, reporting to the Operations Manager and Certification Manager. The role covers external audits in line with ISO standards, including the full certificate cycle, and works closely with the Certification Manager, Technical Manager, Operations Lead, other auditors, sales and technical teams, customers and project consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, conduct and complete external audits in accordance with ISO standards, including the full certificate cycle
• Manage client relationships during audits: set expectations, give regular updates on audit progress, NCR management and report completion
• Handle technical queries and reports in line with technical requirements, ensuring high client satisfaction
• Coordinate key clients and organisations, and carry out other tasks assigned by the Certification Leadership
• Work impartially, with no conflict of interest, and follow field and travel HSE requirements
• Track, manage and communicate audit plans and schedules
• Complete regular technical and HSE training, OHSE awareness training and at least one IMS audit observation
• Monitor performance through KPIs such as audit completion, HSE adherence, report completeness and defects

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years' experience executing, planning and completing audits for IMS/QHSE/BCMS for marine, oil and gas clients
• Bachelor's or Master's degree; preferred: ISO 50001 and ISO 55001 training
• Fluency in English and Arabic
• Ability to work independently, with strong time management, self-motivation and proactive problem solving
