Lead Developer – AI‑Powered Product

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Lead Developer to own delivery across our engineering team. You will act as the technical anchor, turning product ideas into shipped features while collaborating closely with Product.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end delivery lifecycle from requirement finalisation to release, defining sprint scope and communicating status.
• Assign and prioritise tasks across frontend, mobile, backend, AI and QA engineers, run daily stand‑ups, sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing and design discussions, and contribute code to critical system parts.
• Drive architecture decisions, design APIs, data models, caching, queues and third‑party integrations.
• Champion automation across the SDLC with CI/CD pipelines, IaC and workflow automation.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years leading a team or acting as tech lead.
• Proven track record of taking features from brief to production, including scoping, estimation and delivery management.
• Strong communication skills to negotiate scope, push back on product and guide engineers.

Required skills

• Node.js backend development.
• React (web) and React Native (mobile) front‑end development.
• Python with FastAPI for AI services.
• PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Redis databases.
• AWS services (ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, SQS/SNS, CloudWatch).
• CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, Terraform or CDK.
