Lead Electrical Engineer – Offshore

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems on offshore platforms. You will work on high‑profile projects across the Energy and Materials markets, ensuring safe and efficient operation for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of electrical systems for offshore platforms.
• Coordinate installation and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Manage maintenance strategies and troubleshoot system issues on‑site.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the UK, Norway, and the Middle East & Africa.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in offshore electrical engineering.
• Proven track record in leading complex electrical projects.
• Strong understanding of offshore safety regulations and standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
