Lead Engagement Director

About the role

DataRobot is seeking a Lead Engagement Director to spearhead high‑impact AI initiatives for enterprise customers in Dubai. You will act as the technical translator and strategic partner, guiding clients through the adoption of Agentic and Generative AI solutions while ensuring measurable ROI.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of complex AI engagements, managing scope, timeline, budget and execution of GenAI agent projects.
• Bridge business and technology by translating C‑suite objectives into technical requirements for AI Engineers and Data Scientists.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks related to data infrastructure, API integrations, and agent logic.
• Cultivate trusted relationships with client sponsors, manage expectations and handle escalations.
• Drive adoption by advising on process changes needed to operationalize autonomous AI agents.
• Run agile sprints, stand‑ups and sprint reviews to maintain high delivery velocity.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience delivering complex software or data products for enterprise clients.
• Hybrid background: technical roles (e.g., Software Engineer, Solution Architect) progressing to client‑facing leadership (e.g., Engagement Manager, Technical Program Manager).
• Experience managing data‑science or machine‑learning projects.
• Technical undergraduate degree (Computer Science, Engineering or similar); MBA preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, or cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) are a plus.

Required skills

• System architecture and cloud infrastructure knowledge.
• API integration expertise.
• Familiarity with Generative AI and Agentic AI concepts (e.g., RAG architectures, latency trade‑offs).
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP cloud platforms.
