Lead Instrumentation & Control Engineer – Greenfield Projects

About the role

Lead and manage all instrumentation, control, automation, telecom and safety system engineering activities for ADNOC Offshore greenfield and brownfield projects. Ensure designs meet ADNOC Offshore standards, international codes, project specifications, safety and quality requirements throughout FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start‑up phases.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Instrument & Control engineering team during FEED, EPC and execution phases.
• Plan, coordinate and review all instrumentation and control deliverables, ensuring compliance with ADNOC Offshore standards.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, electrical, civil, telecom and HSE disciplines.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to senior engineers, engineers and designers.
• Develop and review instrument index, datasheets, I/O lists, hook‑up drawings, cable schedules, wiring and loop diagrams.
• Lead engineering activities for DCS, ESD, fire‑&gas, PLC, SCADA and ICSS systems.
• Participate in control system architecture reviews, cybersecurity assessments and safety‑instrumented function verification.
• Prepare technical requisitions, evaluate vendor bids, review vendor documents and support FAT/IFAT/SAT activities.
• Provide on‑site technical support during construction, installation, pre‑commissioning, commissioning and start‑up.
• Interface directly with ADNOC Offshore representatives and EPC contractors, manage technical risks and attend project progress meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent (Master's advantageous).
• Minimum 15 years of instrumentation & control engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a lead role.
• Strong experience on ADNOC Offshore projects and extensive FEED/EPC exposure in offshore oil & gas.
• Hands‑on experience with greenfield offshore developments, wellhead platforms, gathering stations and central processing facilities.
• Middle East/GCC project experience is essential.
