Lead MAC Digitalization Engineer – Project Digitalization Lead

About the role
KBR is seeking a Lead MAC Digitalization Engineer to drive the digitalization strategy for the ADNOC PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The role provides technical leadership across all project phases, integrating digital technologies, automation, IIoT, data analytics and AI‑enabled solutions to improve safety, efficiency and decision‑making.
Key responsibilities
- Review and approve digitalization strategies, architectures and implementation road‑maps prepared by contractors.
- Lead workshops, respond to technical queries and ensure designs meet project requirements.
- Monitor contractor performance against digital deliverables, milestones and KPIs.
- Evaluate, select and integrate digital platforms, digital twins, dashboards and reporting tools.
- Ensure compliance with KBR digital governance, cybersecurity standards and industry regulations.
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, IT, OT and business stakeholders to align digital activities.
- Identify transformation opportunities that enhance safety, operational efficiency and asset performance.
- Manage risks, resolve issues and track benefits realization for digital initiatives.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, etc.).
- Minimum 18 years of experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry, including at least 5 years in the GCC region.
- 3 + years of experience leading teams of specialists and senior engineers.
- 5 + years in a similar digitalization leadership role on international oil & gas projects.
- Proven experience working with main automation contractors and resolving multi‑contractor interface issues.
- Experience with ADNOC on‑shore/off‑shore assets and H2S environments is preferred.
