About the role
The Lead Mechanical Static Engineer will be the technical authority for all static equipment on offshore and onshore oil & gas projects, ensuring design integrity, compliance and successful delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the technical authority for static equipment, overseeing pressure vessel design, mechanical integrity and offshore installation feasibility.
- Review and approve vendor datasheets, general arrangement drawings, design calculations, and weight & center‑of‑gravity data ensuring compliance with ADNOC CoPs, ASME Section VIII, API 510/650/620 and ISO pressure equipment standards.
- Lead integration of static equipment on offshore decks, manage lifting and transport studies, and support construction, commissioning and pre‑startup activities.
- Maintain discipline registers, prepare weekly progress reports and ensure ADNOC document control compliance.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with ADNOC offshore approval or eligibility.
- Minimum 16 years of Oil & Gas EPC experience in static equipment, including 7–10 years on ADNOC offshore projects.
- Strong leadership, proactive attitude and ability to work under tight offshore project deadlines.
Required skills
- Proficiency with PV Elite, COMPRESS, Nozzle Pro, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, AVEVA E3D, PDMS, MS Excel and Navisworks.
- Expert knowledge of static equipment design codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO) and offshore design constraints.
