Lead Project Engineer

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead Project Engineer to lead and coordinate engineering teams, ensuring successful planning, execution and completion of technical projects for a high‑profile client in the energy sector.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee multidisciplinary engineering inputs, manage work‑share plans and ensure delivery of design deliverables across multiple execution centres.
• Prepare and check project engineering manpower plans, contract requisition scopes and discipline design instructions.
• Drive HSE, quality and assurance activities, audit compliance and implement project‑specific procedures.
• Manage schedule development, change management, risk mitigation and recovery plans.
• Supervise a large interdisciplinary team (typically 50+), provide communication and public speaking support, and resolve escalated delays.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Approximately 15 years of experience in project delivery, preferably within the oil & gas sector.
• Strong understanding of technical scopes, commercial aspects and contract conditions.
• Proven ability to lead large engineering teams and coordinate with third‑party contractors.
