Lead Technician - Industrial Refrigeration

About the role

JCI is looking for an experienced Refrigeration Service Personnel to join its Industrial Refrigeration team in the United Arab Emirates. Reporting to the Field Line Manager, the technician commissions, services, troubleshoots and maintains refrigeration systems across various industries.

Key responsibilities

• Perform service and maintenance on IR Ammonia single and double stage systems following operational philosophies
• Commission, service and troubleshoot refrigeration systems and gas compressor units, with a preference for Sabroe, Gram and Frick units
• Test, commission and service Danfoss valves and control systems used in JCI industrial refrigeration systems
• Overhaul reciprocating screw compressors, preferably SABROE, GRAM, Frick and YORK units
• Work with process cooling equipment in petrochemical industries using propane, propylene and R134a refrigerants
• Handle, report and communicate with food and beverage and PRS customers

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
• Minimum of 6 to 8 years of hands-on field service experience
• Proven experience commissioning, servicing and troubleshooting refrigeration systems
• Basic awareness of the hazards of ammonia, propane and H2S gases
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Relay-based controls, PLCs, DCS systems and compressor controllers (Unisab, Gramatic, Quantum)
