Legal Advisor (VIE) – Corporate & Banking Law

About the role

Join Societe Generale's Legal team in the United Arab Emirates as a VIE Legal Advisor. Under the supervision of the Head of Legal, you will support the GLBA platform across the region, working on a variety of corporate and banking law matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advisory and documentation for GLBA initiatives, both locally and in collaboration with other jurisdictions.
• Negotiate and review transaction documentation such as loan agreements, legal opinions, NDAs, mandates, and waivers.
• Interact with external counsel on topical legal questions.
• Contribute to updates of GLBA and cross‑border guidelines.
• Review service agreements for business units and support regional legal and regulatory monitoring.
• Collaborate with other legal departments on cross‑border and local law topics.
• Assist with JUR governance and reporting activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (M2) in Business School or University with a specialization in Corporate Finance Law.
• Previous experience in an international bank is a plus.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex legal structures and new areas of law.
