Legal Counsel – Contract Logistics (Dubai)

About the role

DSV is seeking an experienced in‑house Legal Counsel to join its Contract Logistics division in Dubai. The role will provide legal advice and support to local management and sales teams, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and DSV Group policies.

Key responsibilities

• Advise local management and business/sales teams on legal matters related to freight forwarding and logistics.
• Review, negotiate and draft customer and commercial contracts, including tender terms, in line with DSV policies.
• Maintain corporate documents, articles of association and procedural rules for local entities, and support annual shareholder meetings.
• Provide counsel on material claims and litigation, coordinating with DSV Group Legal and external counsel as needed.
• Engage and manage external legal counsel for significant disputes or regulatory issues.
• Liaise with local authorities such as customs and police on regulatory matters.
• Monitor changes in local legislation affecting the logistics sector and advise the business accordingly.
• Prepare regular internal reports on legal and claims matters.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer/solicitor licensed to practice in the Middle East.
• Minimum five years of experience as a Senior Associate or in‑house Legal Counsel, preferably with exposure to corporate and commercial law, contracts, transactions and real‑estate matters.
• Strong English language proficiency at a business and legal level; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently while collaborating across functions.

Required skills

• Proficiency in English (business/legal).
• Knowledge of Arabic (preferred).
