Legal Counsel (Corporate & Regulatory)

About the role

Union Coop is seeking a highly capable and detail‑oriented Legal Counsel to support its corporate, commercial, labor, regulatory, and operational functions. The role involves providing timely legal advice, ensuring compliance, and managing risk across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance to management and internal departments on corporate, commercial, labor, regulatory, and operational matters.
• Draft, review, and finalize contracts, legal documents, notifications, legal opinions, and case summaries.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Liaise with external lawyers, courts, regulators, and authorities on legal and compliance matters.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks while supporting business objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.
• 3‑5 years of experience in corporate, commercial, or regulatory legal matters.
• Strong knowledge of corporate, labor, and regulatory laws.
• Proven ability to draft and review legal documents independently.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder‑management skills.
