Licensed Aircraft Engineer - Global 6000

About the role

Saab is looking for a Licensed Aircraft Engineer to perform scheduled and unscheduled line and base maintenance on the Global 6000 aircraft, as well as component maintenance, training and logistics duties. The role is described as dynamic and calls for flexibility, technical expertise and a strong customer focus.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, inspect, repair and maintain aircraft, engines, avionics, electrical systems and ground support equipment.
• Perform defect rectification efficiently and effectively.
• Carry out specialist assignments such as flight line and base maintenance, aircraft repairs, training, refueling, marshalling and pre-flight and post-flight checks.
• Perform acceptance inspections on components and equipment and assist with parts inventory management.
• Complete all required maintenance records and logbooks accurately and promptly.

Required profile

• Current B1 EASA Part 66 license with at least one type endorsement.
• A B2 license and type rating on the Bombardier Global G6000 (BD700) are highly desirable but not required.
• Extensive experience in maintenance procedures and inspections, with a strong understanding of technical reference materials such as maintenance manuals, illustrated part catalogues, service bulletins, structural repair manuals, engineering drawings and airworthiness notes.
• Fluent written and spoken English; able to work collaboratively in a team and share knowledge with colleagues and customers.
• Curious, open-minded, tolerant, adaptable to new cultures and highly customer-focused.
• Eligibility for a security clearance is required; candidates must be approved in a security vetting in accordance with ISO 27001.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using computer-based maintenance systems.
• Experience producing quality work according to military and/or civil aviation standards.
• Ability to attach a copy of the EASA license with the application.
