Licensed Aircraft Engineer

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking experienced licensed Aircraft Engineers to join its world‑class team, working across a diverse fleet and contributing to the airline’s Journey 2030 strategy. The role involves performing and certifying maintenance activities while leading technicians to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Certify your own work and that of others, ensuring tasks follow approved data and authorization scope.
• Complete all maintenance documentation accurately and on time according to company procedures.
• Maintain a clean, hazard‑free environment and prevent Foreign Object Damage (FOD).
• Guide Aircraft Technicians, providing assistance to ensure safe and effective working practices.
• Conduct inspections of ground support equipment and company vehicles, completing required checklists.
• Promote safety culture by following the Safety & Quality Management Manual and encouraging positive reporting.

Required profile

• Valid Aircraft Maintenance License (GCAA / EASA Part‑66 / ICAO Type convertible to GCAA).
• 7–10 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least 5 years of certifying experience in a line or base/light maintenance environment.
• 2–3 years of certifying experience on at least two Etihad type ratings (Airbus A320/330 NEO/350/380, Boeing 777/787) with company authorization.
• Excellent communication skills, strong teamwork mindset and a commitment to safety, quality and operational excellence.
