Linux System Engineer (RHEL, Ansible, Satellite)

About the role

Al Etihad Payments is looking for a Linux System Engineer to administer, automate and secure its Linux server estate, focusing on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Satellite and Ansible Automation Platform. The role ensures a stable, compliant and efficiently managed infrastructure for critical payment services.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain RHEL and other Linux distributions across physical, virtual and cloud environments.
• Manage file systems, LVM, storage, networking, users and services while monitoring performance and meeting SLA targets.
• Administer Red Hat Satellite for subscription, content and lifecycle management, and execute patching cycles with minimal disruption.
• Develop, maintain and run Ansible playbooks and roles to automate provisioning, configuration, compliance checks and routine operations.
• Apply CIS hardening baselines, SELinux policies and support PCI DSS and CBUAE audit requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 5+ years of enterprise Linux system administration experience.
• Preferred certifications: RHCE, RHCSA, Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation or Satellite.

Required skills

• Expert RHEL administration and troubleshooting.
• Red Hat Satellite and Ansible Automation Platform.
• Shell and Python scripting.
• Virtualization (VMware, KVM) and basic cloud knowledge.
• Clustering (Pacemaker) and high‑availability concepts.
