Lobby Lounge Waiter/Waitress

About the role

Join the Lobby Lounge team at Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai, delivering an exceptional dining experience to guests in a luxury hotel setting. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring every aspect of service meets the brand’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the lounge menu and suggest items to guests.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, communicate with kitchen and bar, and ensure timely delivery.
• Address special dietary requests and inform kitchen of allergies.
• Provide attentive, personalized service and create “wow” moments for guests.
• Operate the POS system, process billing, and set up/clear tables according to standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a waiter/waitress in a high‑volume restaurant or luxury hotel.
• High school qualification; hospitality degree is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• POS system operation and cashiering procedures.
• Familiarity with restaurant point‑of‑sale processes.
